Rookwire Chess privacy policy

Local game and practice records
The app stores the current game, saved games, moves and positions, notation, outcomes, hints and takebacks. Drill records contain the exercise identifier, date, mistakes, hint use and solve duration. Preferences include sound, haptics and board rotation. These records support replay, practice charts and streaks.
No app-operated server
Chess calculations and opponent search run on your device. There is no account, advertising, tracking or analytics SDK, online matchmaking, developer-hosted game database or automatic app cloud sync. The app does not automatically send your games or drill history to CST3 Media.
Optional PGN sharing
If you choose to share game notation, the app opens the iOS share sheet. The app or person you select receives the PGN information. That destination’s policies apply. Copies you shared or saved are separate from the app’s local records.
Storage, deletion and backups
Records remain in local app storage until that data is removed. Deleting the app removes its local games, settings and drill history. Offloading may retain documents. Apple device backups may preserve copies according to your settings. Shared PGN files, backups and support correspondence are not removed by uninstalling. The app preserves an unreadable save rather than silently overwriting it; contact support if a recovery notice appears.
Apple and TestFlight
Apple handles App Store purchases, device backups, TestFlight testing information, crash diagnostics and feedback under its own policies and your device settings. We do not receive payment-card details through this app. TestFlight may make beta feedback and diagnostic information available to us. Review screenshots and attachments before submitting feedback.
When you contact support
If you email CST3 Media, LLC, we receive your email address, message and attachments to respond and investigate. The app does not automatically attach your records. Share only what is needed. You may email us about access to or deletion of support correspondence, subject to applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Policy updates and contact
This policy applies to this iPhone app. The CST3 Media website, external research links, your mail provider and services you choose for sharing have their own privacy practices.
