An offline iPhone chess trainer by CST3 Media, LLC. Play the computer, work through tactical drills, or pass one phone between two players. Quick capture effects, optional sound and haptics give each move a crisp finish.
Private beta
Rookwire Chess is currently testing by invitation. It is not yet available for public purchase. Its name remains provisional and launch pricing has not been announced.
Play without a server
Arena includes three local engine search depths, hints, takebacks, promotion choices and chess draw handling. Engine depth is a practice setting, not a measured Elo rating. Pass & play supports two people on the same iPhone, with optional automatic board rotation.

Eighteen original drills cover mates, loose pieces, forks, pins and promotion. Keep a record of hints, mistakes and solve time.
Review your practice
See a 14-day activity chart, practice streaks and clean solves by pattern. Replay saved games and share game notation as PGN through the iOS share sheet.
Set the feel
Optional sound respects Silent Mode. Capture animation respects Reduce Motion. Sound, haptics and board rotation can be adjusted in settings.
Local by design
No account, ads, analytics SDK, online matchmaking or developer server. Games and drill records are stored in the app on your device. There is no promised rating gain or tournament-strength engine claim.
