Carryframe Support
A little order. A lot of adventure. Here’s how to make Carryframe your own.
Start a trip
Tap + on Trips, enter a name and dates, and choose a starting list. Select your expected climate and laundry frequency to adjust suggested items. These are editable suggestions, not live weather or travel advice. Use a blank list for complete control.
Pack and organize
Tap an item’s circle to check it off; tap its name to edit the quantity, category, bag, traveler, weight, last-minute flag, or notes. Use All, Remaining, and Last-minute filters, or search for an item or traveler. Touch and hold an item for edit/remove actions.
Plan bag weights
Open Bags and tap a bag to enter its empty weight and your own weight allowance. Item weights are per unit, multiplied by quantity. Totals include assigned items whether packed or unpacked. A zero weight means unknown and is excluded; incomplete totals are flagged. Switch between metric and imperial in Settings. Verify actual packed weight with a scale and check your booking’s rules.
Check before coming home
Return Check is a separate list of checkmarks for the same items. Use it before leaving a hotel or rental. Reset only clears Return Check, so your original packing progress stays intact.
Reminders
Open the trip menu → Packing reminder. Choose a future time and allow notifications when asked. If reminders do not appear, check iOS Settings → Notifications → Carryframe and your Focus settings. Archived trips have no pending packing reminders. The next 60 upcoming enabled reminders can be scheduled on a device.
Carryframe Plus and restoring
The free app supports two active trips and the full core packing workflow. Plus adds unlimited active trips and reusable personal packing kits through a one-time purchase. Open Settings → Explore Carryframe Plus to see Apple’s current price. Restore Purchases uses the Apple Account that originally purchased Plus. An unavailable store product may require a connection or a later retry; your free lists remain usable. Purchases made in TestFlight are sandbox tests, not paid App Store purchases.
Reuse a kit
With Plus, open a trip menu → Save as a reusable kit. Then open another trip → Add items from a kit. Quantities and details carry over, while checkmarks reset and items go into the first bag for reassignment.
Export, import, and move devices
Settings → Export backup creates a JSON file of your trips and kits. Save it somewhere you control, then use Import backup on the other device. Import adds records with new identifiers, preserves existing records, and disables imported reminders until you enable them. It does not continuously sync devices. Share printable checklist in a trip menu exports a PDF.
